The Foley catheter has a rounded tip, one or two 'eyes' (holes through which the urine enters the main tube), and a tiny balloon that can be inflated once the catheter is in place. Before insertion the balloon is evident as just a slightly raised area near the tip of the catheter.
The 'outside' end has two branches. One is the main tube, connected directly to the eyes, through which urine flows. The other, which has a small valve on the end, runs inside the main tube and is connected to the inflatable balloon at the tip.

OneGel is a water-soluble lubricant containing a local anaesthetic and antiseptic, in a sterile disposable syringe.
OneGel helps to prevent irritation and damage to the mucous membrane during insertion of urethral or rectal toys (e.g. catheters, tubes etc.) into a body cavity.
The gel contains a local anaesthetic (lidocaine) to ensure painless insertion and retraction, and antiseptic to reduce the risk of contracting infection, while lubricating to make the process smooth.
OneGel has been CE marked as a Class III Medical Device under the Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EEC. It is classified as a Class III Medical Device in view of its primary function as a lubricating jelly, with the secondary use being the anaesthetic and antiseptic effects.
Caution!
Do not use after expiry date and if the syringe is damaged.
In case you are receiving non-related treatment, consult a health professional before the gel is used.
Ingredients (in each 100 grams): Purified water, Propylene glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, 2 g Lidocaine hydrochloride, 0.250 g Chlorhexidine gluconate - 20% concentrated, 0.060 g Methyl hydroxybenzoate, 0.025 g Propyl hydroxybenzoate.

Before the gel is used check if any of the following applies to you:
You are not suitable for OneGel:

How the gel is used
Before removing the blue cap from the end of the syringe, free the plunger by gently pressing it. Remove the cap. Insert the nozzle into a body cavity and press the plunger slowly to push out the gel. The anaesthetic takes about 5 minutes to work after the gel has been applied.
Has the gel any side effects?
You might feel a slight stinging just after the gel is used, but this stops as soon as the anaesthetic starts to work. Most people find that there are no problems after the gel has been used but there may be a slight soreness when the effect of the local anaesthetic has worn off. If you feel that you have had any reaction to the gel, please tell your doctor as soon as possible.
Storage of the gel
The gel should not be used after the expiry date shown on the package. The syringe is for single use only. If the complete contents are not used, the syringe and remaining gel must be disposed. Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
